PULP FACTORY AWARDS UPDATE!

The Windy City Pulp and Paper Convention has been postponed from April until September due to Coronavirus limitations. This is the con where The Pulp Factory Awards are handed out. Instead of delaying announcement of the winners until September, The Pulp Factory's Ron Fortier released the following statement today.

PULP FACTORY AWARDS 2020
In lieu of the Windy City Pulp and Paper postponement until Sept., this year’s Pulp Factory Awards Winner will be announced via a special video and Press Release. Once the actual awards have been made and addresses for the winners obtained, regular hosts Ron Fortier and Rob Davis will do a short video announcing the winners of each of the five categories. At that same time, the actual awards will then be mailed out to each recipient. Again our thanks to Van Plexico and Gordon Dymowski for a great job handling the voting. As soon as the video is up at You Tube, we will circulate the link and Press Release everywhere on line.

I will post more details as soon as I have them.

Lombard, Illinois – January 27, 2019
Every year in April, fans gather at the Westin Hotel near Yorktown Mall in metro Chicago to celebrate the best in classic and New Pulp literature. As part of those celebrations, nominations for the Pulp Factory Awards are open. The 2020 PFAs will cover works published during the calendar year 2019.
The nomination process will be as follows:

Any work published in print in 2019 can be considered for nomination. (Digital-only books are excluded.) Reprints are not eligible for individual awards such as Best Short Story but may be included in collections if those collections feature stories published for the first time in 2019.
  • Nominations (by members of the Pulp Factory only) should be e-mailed directly to PulpAwards@gmail.com, with choices in any or all of the following categories. (You may nominate as many works in each category as you wish.)

AWARD SEASON TIME IS UPON US!

It’s award season time again. As the nominations for this year's PULP FACTORY AWARDS pour in, Rob Davis put together an archive page showing past winners and nominees.

Sadly, Lance Star and the Sky Rangers are not eligible for this year's award as Vol. 4 did not come out in 2013 as originally planned.

There's always next year, right?
