AS THE CURTAIN CLOSES ON 2025…

As the year draws to a close, I thought it might be interesting to take a look back at my work for the year. 2025 saw the release of my work across 6 Anthologies, 5 Novellas, 1 Novel, 2 Audio Dramas, and 2 Fan Films. Not too shabby.

My 2025 To Do List
I finished 44 items on my creator to do list. See the attached screenshot. They are blurred on purpose as some of the projects haven’t been announced yet. In some cases, where I publish the book as well, it might appear on the list three times. Deadly Deals! for example appeared on the list as deadline to finish book, deadline for edits/rewrites, and a production deadline. I admit, I don’t keep track of how many words I wrote for the whole year. Suffice to say, it’s a lot. Much of the writing I did in 2025 is for projects that will be coming out in 2026 and beyond, in some cases, as publishing can sometimes move at a snail’s pace.

2025 was definitely a busy writing/art year for me. There were plenty of ups and downs. Projects started, ended, got cancelled, and I even had one get D.O.G.E’d and killed by the white House. A first for me. I also received my first death threat in 2025. Oddly enough, unrelated to the aforementioned cancelled project. Neither experience was fun and will hopefully not be repeated.

I attended 40 in person events in 2025 as part of my "Let Me Tell You A Story" tour. Those include conventions, conferences, bookstores, libraries, comic shops, schools, colleges, outdoor venues, a farmers’ market, festivals, a center of the arts, and literary/book fairs. I met a lot of wonderful people, sold some books and art, and generally had a great time. I love doing events. That said, my plan is to do fewer events this year. Of course, I say that every year, so I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you.

I was interviewed 25 times and appeared on 33 podcasts. Whew. That’s a lot of talking. Even for me. Ha! I also drew a lot of images on bookmarks, envelopes, and more.

The weird part is I didn’t realize how much I actually accomplished until I started tallying things up for this post. I was honestly surprised by the numbers. Now, I need a nap. Whew!

My 2026 schedule is already starting to shape up to be a busy year. I have plans in the works. Lots to accomplish. I love it! Let’s tackle 2026 together!

Happy New Year!

Bobby
