LANCE STAR VOL. 4 Q& A - SEAN TAYLOR

Sean Taylor
With the release of volume 4 of the Lance Star: Sky Ranger pulp anthology series, we sat down with some of the Honorary Sky Rangers involved with this new release. Previously, we talked with Lance star: Sky Ranger authors Andrew Salmon, Jim Beard, and Bobby Nash, plus Airship 27 Productions publisher, Ron Fortier. You can read their answers here.

The fourth writer involved with Lance Star: Sky Ranger Vol. 4 is fan-favorite author Sean Taylor. We sat down to talk to him about his work on volume 4 of the high-flying pulp anthology series.

Welcome, Sean.

What is it about characters like Lance Star and the Sky Rangers that draws you to writing (and reading) their adventures?

Sean Taylor - Lance is like the ultimate man's man. He's all-out action, a hero to the core, and how could you not love to write his adventures. And besides, he's such a noble man of honor and morality that I love to play the femme fatale card on him with a woman who throws off his game.

What has your experience been like working on this book?

Sean Taylor - It's been fun, above all else. The whole crew has been great to work with, from Ron and Rob in the publisher's cockpit, to Bobby Nash, the guy who owns the character. There's usually a lot of latitude to put my own spin on Lance and his crew.

In this volume...
Tell us a bit about your story in Lance Star: Sky Ranger Vol. 4.

Sean Taylor - Unlike most of the writers in the book, I like to start Lance off in the worst places, so we begin with him kidnapped by someone without even having a clue why. Then it's up to his best girl and the girl who would love to be the other woman to work together to rescue him. But, of course, being the hero of his own story, maybe Lance doesn't need to be rescued as much as he just needs some back up while he rescues himself.

Where can readers learn more about you and your work?

Sean Taylor - They can visit me online at www.taylorverse.com or follow my writing blog over at seanhtaylor.blogspot.com.

Thanks, Sean.
