Clayton Murwin turned in his third interior illustration for the upcoming Lance Star: Sky Ranger novel, "Cold Snap!" from Airship 27 Productions. It looks beautiful. All I can share is the cropped image above for now. Trust me, it's beautiful.

Jeffrey Hayes sent me the work in progress on the cover for my Captain Hawklin short, "Smuggler's Run" for Stormgate Press and it looks great. As with the Lance Star piece, I can't share yet, but here's the title card to tide you over. :)

Reposting Airship 27's Ron Fortier: Only a few weeks ago we announced that Pulp Factory Award winning artist Clayton Murwin had signed on to do the illustrations and cover for writer Bobby Nash’s (himself a PF Award winner) first ever Lance Star Sky Ranger novel called “Cold Snap.” Not only has Clayton begun work on the interior pieces, he took a moment to do up a terrific new Lance Star piece. Though not the official cover, we loved it so much and had to share it with all of you. Stay tuned for more updates, and thanks Clayton. That piece would make a great print/poster. Hint – hint. Oh, and a reminder, there are already 4 Lance Star Sky Ranger anthologies, a novella, short stories, and a comic book still available at Amazon. Above is the cover to Vol one.

I'm thrilled to share the announcement that Clayton Murwin has been tapped to handle the cover art and interior illustration duties on my upcoming Lance Star: Sky Ranger novel, "Cold Snap!" This is a return for Clayton. He illustrated the first meeting between Lance Star and Captain Hawklin in Pulp Reality #1. He will also illustrate a new Lance Star: Sky Ranger short in Pulp Reality #4 later this year as well.

AWARD WINNING ARTIST JOINS LANCE STAR TEAM

Airship 27 Production is happy to announce that one of this year’s Pulp Factory Award winning artists is joining the Lance Star team. Clayton Murwin, winner of the Best Pulp Cover for Pulp Realities Vol 2, will be the solo artist for Airship 27 Production’s first full length Lance Star novel, “Cold Snap” as written by another Pulp Factory Award winner, Bobby Nash. Murwin will do all nine interior illustration and the full color cover. Overall book design will be multi award winner, Art Director Rob Davis.

UNFORTUNATELY, I HAVE TO CANCEL MY APPEARANCE AT CONCAROLINAS THIS WEEKEND...

 

It is with deep sadness that I have to cancel my appearance at ConCarolinas this weekend in Charlotte, NC. I recently injured my hip and back and, even though things are slowly improving, I have not sufficiently recovered enough to travel and schlep books or stand behind a table all weekend. I'm bummed because I love this convention and was looking forward to catching up with friends and enjoying a weekend at con. Though I can't be there in person, I will be there in spirit. Apologies in advance to anyone who was looking to see me this weekend.

I had a great time visiting with Tucker High School students today for TigerCon 2022. This year, the event was held virtually. I did a panel on the ins and outs and ups and downs of being a professional writer, dealing with writer's block, getting started, and more. The students asked a lot of great questions.
